I purchased and installed the Luxlink remore starter that is used in the Lexus GX470. The reason I went with LuxLink is you can use the factory key-fob. The unit was $295.00 shipped to my front door. My rig is a 2007 4runner SR5.

The instructions don't come with the unit. I could not find any connections in the 4runner that showed in the instructions. That is why I decided to relay what I did and save you a lot of wasted time.
I think you use 6 of the 16 wires, so relax. Steve at Luxury Motor Works was a great help.
Here's my install in summary.
Be very careful to not break or expose to short any of the vehicle wires or you are screwed. Ask a friend for help if you have any uncertainty.
1. Ground the luxlink's ground wire inside the drivers kick panel. There's a bolt with a a ground connector there.
2. Run 3 wires into the driver's door. Remove the door panel 1st, unplug two big wire connectors that hook the door panel and the 2 cables that go to the door lock. Wires run through the body through the kick panel, through the rubber boot between body and door, and finally into the door. You need to remove the door side of the boot and open it up in order to get the wires through it.
3. Hook the 3 wires as illustrated in the pictures. I used cheaters, you should do it right.
4. Put the door back together. Check door unlock/lock to make sure that's all good. Door light turn on and off?
5. Hook 2 wires to the brake switch. Use a test light to find hot and ground. Brake lights still work?
6. Put spare key (make sure it works first) into immobilizer box (provided with luxlink kit).
7. Wrap coil around front of ignition switch. When done and testing, if the rig turns over but doesn't start it may be the coil is not correct. Take your key and hold it directly in front and against the ignition switch. If it starts the problem is a) wires not hooked to immobilzer, b) coil not close enough to front of ign. switch, c) bad key in box.
8. Hook immobilizer harness to hot and luxlink per instructions. Plug the harness in to immobilzer. Plug the coiled wire in too!
9. Unplug the big 8-wire connector from the back right side of the ign. switch and plug the luxlink in between.
10. Test it out, you're done. Open your garage door for venting.
a. Start rig with your key, shut off, get out and lock the doors. Got your remote, right?!
b. With about 1 second intervals inbetween each press; press UNLOCK, LOCK, LOCK.
c. Smile, it started right?
11. Clean up your install wrapping the wires and hiding the boxes. I put the big box in the bottom of the steering column plastic housing and the little box on top of the heat vent thats above the drivers feet. I used tie straps. You can do better.
Make sure your wires or boxes do not interfere with the brake or steering operations.
It'll run for 5 minutes and shut off.
You can program it to run 5, 10 or 15 minutes. I haven't received the programming instructions yet, 5 minutes isn't long enough in Minnesota.
If you start fresh and happy in the morning, it should take less than 5 hours.
