Made a Big Mistake, Sat my Wife in a 2016 LC

Was at the local dealership, my son purchased a certified pre owned Camry and they had a white LC with the light brown leather interior and man she was hooked. This is a lady who is never impressed with vehicles. She has asked me multiple times, even texted me at work when am I picking up the truck for her.

I feel the hook has bait, been set and I can reel it in, but $85K is a lot of cash. We are going back this weekend to look at it...damn $85K is a lot if cash.

Looked at the lc as well and can't justify the price 85 or 76k. Limited 4Runner just makes so much more sense. The lc isn't that much bigger on the inside storage and seating. Shocking I know

I agree, they tried to tell me these move real fast and people are calling all around looking for them. I can smell something's up. They have three more coming, a silver and two black LCs. The sticker was $84.6K, said they would only budge 1500 pff sticker, but then we were not really negotiating. I feel it is worth the money, but at the price you mentioned, When the time comes, we will work on hold back. If I am buying this type of vehicle, I would get the Toyota over the Lexus equal, I feel the LC has more of a name and will hold value better.

The GX is a nice vehicle, but I am not sure how much longer they will make these. She does like my TP, more than her Expedition Limited. So a 4Runner Limited is an option, but as I stated, I made a big mistake, she has seen and sat in the ultimate SUV.

Looking at the gx and lc I see very little difference in these two vehicles. The interiors look identical as does the room. The only appreciable difference a 5.7l v8 vs a 4.6l v8 and a $20k price tag. Personally i hope you don't buy it. New cars are nice but unless you own your house and have your retirement set and paid for this Land Cruiser is continued slavery.

It really makes me sad to see so many people in so much debt. If you are free and clear on all of these things, I say go for the land cruiser. It's a beast and I never saw anyone driving one that looked unhappy.

buy an off lease 2013-2014 200.

will be at least $30k cheaper.

With a vehicle thats designed to last forever and built to the highest standard, why not let someone else pay the depreciation cost?

I think the 2016 has an 8-speed auto. With that said, I think I would still do what you mentioned. It's not like they offer many colors or options from new, so it should be super easy to find a used one you like. If you're not planning on keeping it for more than a few years then buying new is just ridiculous to me.

Morph, I totally agree....this is a big investment. And way too many people live up their eyeballs in debt. Fortunately our biggest monthly bill is the power bill. I am set in retirement and the house has been paid for years. I am working a second career because I like what I do. I am 57, my wife is 56. This would be a cash purchase. However I did not get this way financially by willy nilly buying, my wife and I live a very modest life.

Man this is a nice vehicle. I called to tell the salesman I was stopping by to pick up my sons temp plate and they had the truck out front opened up. The seats are the softest leather I have ever felt.
