when I ordered tires after we lifted the runner with the toytec ultimate 3'' kit. I ordered a set of bfg km2's in 285/70/17 thinking they'd fit my stock wheels without rubbing.....i stand corrected. any way in fixing this without forking out gobs of money for new tires?

Right now the options are I guess either spacers...or a set of American Racing Teflon Chamber wheels.

are you rubbing on your UCAs? ---->spacers + trimming plastic

are you rubbing plastic? ----->trimming

I have 9" wide wheels and I have trimmed, yet I still rub ever so slightly.

No rubbing because they arent installed yet because I'm still in Afghanistan for another month or so. My husband took a look at the tires after I had ordered and had them shipped and realized that they wouldnt fit.

I've got stock FJ wheels with neutral backspacing. My husband went on vacation and had it lifted for me.

If you have stock FJ wheels, and 3" of lift, the tires will fit with no rubbing. Many people are running that set up including myself.

They should fit maybe have alittle rubbing but not to much. I have alittle rubbing on mine at full lock when backing that's it

hamilton, what do your ATX mojave wheels have for BS though? Looks to be way different than the netural that the 6 spoke FJ wheels have.

Did you move your inner fenders out at all? I know I saw a thread on how to do it, you just have to loosen a few screws and move it, then tighten the screws back down. This takes a lot of stress off. I was really afraid that I goofed bigtime.

They are a 4.5 BS I did move my inner fender liners a little bit. it only takes a few mins to move the liners when it warms up out I am going to try and move mine alittle more to try and eliminate all the rubbing

one of the members is running 285 70 17s on stock suspension and these black rhino wheels. says very little rubbing. I was thinking a leveling kit would do the trick.

check out the pics. very good looking.
