My 2nd gen
I have a 92 with the 3.slow and have never had any water issues. I have traversed rivers and plowed through washes that my wipers couldnt keep up with and have had water up to the hood before and never had any problems with my engine ingesting water. I have however had to replace an alternator and fan and shroud from deep water. you can see in one of my pics im coming up out of one of the rivers we used to have to cross. That water is about headlight deep in the middle. That was with the original air intake silencer box and whatnot. which I will be going back to and getting rid of my cold air... it didnt make any significant difference and the OE air intake system has alot of extra room to let up before ingestion.. IMO.. I would only snorkel mine if I was planning on sealing the whole system... ignition, wires, alt., bat. box, fan switch, diff. breather tubes, on and on...
