I thought Ive heard of all the tricks until today. Bud of mine picked up some parts for his yota PU today from a guy that drift races. guy told him one of his tricks to get a little for HP out of his 22re is to take apart the MAFS and turn the gear 3 clicks to introduce more air into the intake. Ive never taken apart one.
Is there any truth to this? If so how much HP? he said 10-20. Seems like a lot for such a small adjustment. I call B.S

Me too :)

You can adjust that wheel, all it does is either lean or richen the fuel mixture. It tricks the computer into thinking that there is either more or less air coming into the engine that what there really is. You need to be careful doing this because you can either run rich and lose performance, or run too lean and kill your motor. I would suggest leaving at factory settings, if you want more power then do it the right way. Get a performance cam, head, headers, big bore throttle body, ect... The 22re ECU is not tune-able in any way, so I would upgrade the engine itself to get more power.
