Hey guys I have been doing a lot of investigating. I have come to the conclusion I am going to either get a Gibson catback exhaust or a Magaflow. Anyone here share their experiences with either exhaust? Thanks guys much appreciated.

Magnaflows tend to drone at around 2000-2200 RPM. Might want to consider installing a louder stereo or some sound deadening in the cargo area to compensate on those long highway drives.

Gibson. I got the one from Jason Burtman. He's a member and vendor on this forum. Stainless steel. Had it for a few months now and yes its louder than stock but it sounds better to me and should last a long time.

+1 for the Gibson. I’ve only had it installed for a few days but I’m loving it. Throaty but not loud at all. I got SS as well

Does magnaflow make a bolt-on exhaust?

I am happy with my Gibson. Ive had it around a mo th and a bit over 1k miles. While it is certainly more noticable than stock, its tone is deep enough that it doesnt interfere with the radio or conversation. It seems slightly louder with the windows down, but above 30mph the wind noise pretty much drowns everything out.

Stock. These engines sound like hot garbage with loud mufflers.

I agree with Cherry bombs and "racing" mufflers, they sound terrible. But a nice touring muffler like the Borla I have on mine or the others mentioned are a nice little upgrade, especially for use boosted folks. The stock baffled muffler just kills the exhaust flow.

Bought the Gibson because many said "its close to stock sound wise", right.... put it on and hated it. Too loud. The drone inside the cab was unbearable. Went to the muffler shop last weekend and they put on a 18 4runner/Tacoma take off muffler, nice and quiet now.

Gibson here....love it. Not too loud. Not too quiet. Does not drone.
