New to the forum and new to Toyota 4Runners. Just picked up this TRD PRO 4 1/2 hours away in PA. I'm in love. I've had 24 cars/trucks to date and this one is quickly coming to the top of the list. Can't beat the body on frame construction. If only it came in 6sp manual.....

Man, your truck looks badass. Very similar to what I'm striving for. Couple questions for you.

Do the flares decrease tire clearance at all?

and

Would the flares look funny without your wheel spacers? I don't really like when the flares stick out further than the tires/wheels. My concern with spacers is the increase in rubbing. I'll be running Toytec Boss lift with 285/70/17 BFG KO2's.

No decrease in tire clearance. If no spacers, you need to get the correct backspace or offset otherwise I think it doesn't look right.

I just cleaned them really well, laid down a good thick first coat, then about 3 more lighter coats.

For me, with the BW's, a -12 offset/ 4" back space would ba a minimum.
Your wheels are about 6mm in more then mine without the spacers. Having the spacers shouldn't be a major issue if you do some minor trimming.
