I actually didn't swap out the caps...I took the chrome Toyota logo off the trail wheel caps, then had a local sign shop make me the stickers (matte black circles with red TRD logo). Taking the Toyota emblem off exposes some small rectangle holes where it clips in, but you can't see them after the stickers are on.
Wish they came this way from Toyota!
Pic isn't the best but been a busy week going from a stock 18' TRD OR to this...
How did you do to make your wheels black?

Few thick coats of plastidip followed by a couple coats of matte clear (not the plastidip glossifier)

Did you spray the wheels while on the truck, or did you take them off to spray?

I took them off, left tire shine on the tires and the oversprayed plastidip just pulled right off, didn't have to tape anything which was nice.

A couple questions? Is this truck lifted at all? What tires are these as well what are you guys using to black out wheels and emblems?

Not sure if you know this but you quoted a 5 year old post by a member with 18 posts. Highly unlikely you'll ever get a reply. You should probably look for a newer post stating what you're looking for. As for blacking out emblems, either plasti dip or buy the overlay kit. Wheels are plasti dip or paint.

Thank you and my apologies, I’m very new to these forums and totally forgot to look at that. Thank you for the intel on that and I will consider the plasti product the only thing that concerns me is where I live we wash our vehicles with power washers at cleaning bays so my concern would be peeling of the product. I will do some research on it. Thank you

"Install" (lol 2 bolts) Lock-er-down center console
Future Mods:
Blue Sea electrical fuse panel
"Hidden" grill LED light bar
Side step rock rails
Coming from a lifted Jeep Wrangler and decided to go more "Off Road Stealth" for the 4-runner as it's my Daily Driver. Tow a Little Guy Silver Shadow Off Road camper (Photos of that too!).
Looking forward to some much better towing ability and a much more comfortable commute.
