Magsafe mounting location?

Wondering if anyone has found a good mount + location for a magsafe phone, that isn't on the dash or using one of the vents?

Curious where you did it and what mount/charger you're using!

Rago fabrication has options for you.

Neither are hard to install and these will likely be the best flexible options in terms of SECURE mounting Iif you’re wheeling. With the use of RAM mounts you can pretty much articulate your thing anywhere. (There are mag safe compatible mounts for RAM arms)

IMO I’d drop the whole MagSafe thing and just get the quad lock charger mount. 110% secure while still retaining charging capabilities.

I'll second the QuadLock. I use their windshield mount on the left near the pillar. I also have the powered mount on my Ducati. It isn't the cheapest, and the case is rather bulky, but it's secure.

I tried all sorts of magnets and MagSafe mounts, with no luck. They barely hold the phone on a smooth road, let alone off the beaten path.

I use the same setup as the one in this video, with the exception of the holder itself. I’m using the Magmount G3. Installed it in the same spot, which allows the use of both cup holders. It holds very strong, but it’s fairly pricey. 67 Designs includes several different magnets, both for MagSafe and without. If you have a newer T4R with CarPlay it’s nice because you can have the phone mounted close to the USB port.

If you’re waiting for the labops one I would wait longer until he comes out with the injection mold version which he still has in the works… unless you don’t mind the gritty textured 3D printed version. Injection molding will look more OEM with a smooth finish
