I change my oil at home and is there a way to shut off the maint light without bring the truck into the dealer? I have a 03 4runner V8 SE.
Thanks,

Yes & welcome. The way it works on my '07 is as follows:

1) Shut the car off with the total mileage displayed, not one of the tripmeters.

2) Push and hold the button that resets the tripmeter.

3) While holding the button turn the key to the 'on' position without starting the vehicle. Continue to hold the button, watch the maint light, after about 15-30seconds it'll flash a few times and go out (or turn steady, I forget).

4) Release the button, shut the key off and you're done!

Good luck!

Time to find another dealer. It's covered in the owners manual and they should have told you so.
