So I got the maint sched from the dealer for my 2010 Ltd, and every 5000mi (16000km) they've got about $200 in for "general maint"

Does anyone know what this includes? Seems like a lot of $ for a brand new vehicle.

I did all their recommended maint on my '07 FJ, and never saw a dime of uptick on my trade-in value because of it, so I'm not as inclined to more than the minimum required for this truck. Any thoughts?

We got maint included in our 2010 Limited deal last month. It includes oil changes and rotation for 2 years or 25K miles I believe. What are they charging $200 for? Our '03 Limited is still on the road at 125K miles and we never did the so called Toyota maint plan at the dealer. We did reg oil changes/tire rotations,belts,brake service, new timing belt (mech) at 90K and spark plugs at 100K sold it last fall for $14K and it still runs perfectly. The only other thing it needed was front wheel bearings on the pass side.

Could be that the WARRANTY & MAINTENANCE GUIDE for your 2010 4RUNNER is a better source of information regarding what's required at 5,000 miles than your dealer.

Take a look at the attached and see if this is what you want to buy for $200.

If the Additional Maintenance Items for Special Operating Conditions on the PDF I attached are not in play, it looks to me like it's a $200 tire rotation!
Without knowing your specific operating conditions it is hard to know how much maintenance you need at 5K.
