Maintenance Light

I know this has been discussed before, and I thought it was in the manual but I cant find it. Also cant find anything with the search.

How do you reset the maintenance light? I know its something with the trip reset and the flipping the ignition on and off a few times, but I cant figure it out. So help me out, thanks in advance.

With the key ON, put the odometer/trip switch in the ODOMETER mode. Switch the key back OFF, and then hold the odometer/trip button down.

While HOLDING the button, turn the key back to ON and continue holding the button down until the light blinks and goes out.

after you switch the key back OFF...you hold down the reset button, not the odometer/trip button.
