Hello, I'm new here.
I have an '04 v8 limited w/ 138k miles on it. I'm driving across U.S. (no trailer) the U.S. and wonder what I should have done to my 4 rnr. I know I need the timing belt/chain changed (never been done), have the serpentine belt and hoses checked. Does anyone have any other suggestions what I should have done?

Best bet is telling us what has been done already in the last 50 thousand or so.

Top of my head, being new here, all fluids changed, grease the 6(I think) driveline zerks, rotate tires and recheck lug nut torque after about 100 miles, clean inside windows, timing belt as mentioned along with water pump and drive belts and enough drive time after they are done to ensure everything is good and not leaking.

Short list but can be expensive. How ever it is normal maint. that should be done.

Check the tires for wear and dry rot.
Check the brake pads and rotors.
Change engine oil, coolant, check other fluids.
