Maintenance service required light

I have 8400 miles on my 4R, and the Maintenance service required light is flickering as soon the engine starts, but the engine is running fine. Is anyone have similar experience? I am planning to call Toyota service desk for appointement.

Mine started flickering a little on start up before it came on constant..Did you have any service done about 5000 miles ago? You can try to reset it yourself. Mine did the same thing around 6500 miles and shortly after that it stayed on. The dealer said that it was just for the oil change and reset it. I dont have the utmost confidence in them but everything has been fine since...

Mine started to flicker around 4900 I think then as I cruised past the 5000 mile mark, stayed on constantly. Took me a while to turn it off when I did my oil change, in my Tacoma had to have the Odometer showing, then press/hold down reset, turn key, wait for numbers. This time around had to have it set to the trip-meter. Literally took me a day to figure out, finally resorted to the forum and read Harper's post's in the Oil Change thread. Thanks :thumb3:

Thank you for the answers. The dealer told me the same thing, it is just a reminder for oil change.
