Hello all..... new member and new owner of a T4R...
Ok so i am off to a rough start already but going to try and make the best of it as i dont really have a choice.
2005 V8 SE with 50,000 miles.
So thought i did my due part in buying a used 4runner and paid a bit too much attention to the mechanical part than anything else. Took a quick look to the outside of the vehicle, didnt see much that stood out, crawled underneath and found no leaks and everything looked in immaculate condition.
My wife loved it and thought it was perfect. We did the deal and got it home and then after a much more careful inspection, well.... my bad for missing some things. I blame no one but myself, i realize that not everyone is forth coming as you would be, and i usually am quite good at not jumping the gun.....but excited about getting a 4R i let it get the best of me. Its been in an accident and body work is going to be needed and the only mechanical thing i can find is that i noticed is that there is a rub in the steering wheel from it being bent forward from an impact i beleive. So anyways, i guess i really wanted a new front and rear bumper anyways, so i can live with that i guess....... anyways, looking forward to spending sometime on here and making this my own rig for the next 20 years........ Sorry for the little vent i am a bit disappointed in myself for letting this oversight get the best of me...... ok, onto other threads...... thanks and take care all.....
