manual hub conversion 5th gen

Has anyone tried this on a 5th gen yet? I have a 2012 trail edition and was curious what it would cost to swap to manual front hubs and if it would help on gas mileage.

Yes, theoretically, but not enough that you're likely to see it in hand calculations.

And late-model electronic 4WD is strong and reliable enough that I don't see any other benefits to the switch. I'd swap a first or second gen to manual hubs in a heartbeat, but a fifth gen? Waaaaaaaay too much work for way too little benefit imo.
