Manually Close Sunroof?

I have a 96' 4runner. Over the last couple weeks the sunroof started operating slowly and seemed to labor - finally it quit in the almost closed position. The sunroof motor is surely dead.

I'm trying to find out if there is an easy way to manually close the sunroof? ie -without taking down the entire headliner, which appears to involve taking down all the plastic covers from the the floor up.

There is a drop down plastic cover next to the power sunroof controls. Use a screwdriver to turn the screw that is inside this cover to manually close the roof.

thx, but i've looked under the sunroof controls, by removing the screw, which is where the sunroof motor is. there's no obvious way to turn the motor, etc. via a screwdriver or special allen wrench that i can see. the screw holding the sunroof controls is merely a clip that attaches to the motor housing -there's no connection to the sunroof linkage.

i'm trying to get away with closing the sunroof without having to take down the headliner, which seems kinda crazy that you would have to do all that to manually close the sunroof.

It takes like a 45 minutes to remove the headliner.
