I'd remove that faux skidplate tho' before the off roading starts since even a light bump will bend it up.
I have the same and I don't take a chance with something I spent $70 on just for looks. :p
 
haha thanks RomMAIDEN. ive bent it a couple of times now i took a jack and bent it up flush with the bottom of the bumper to eliminate that gap. lol. now im just saving up enough money to buy a shrockworks so i can eliminate the front bumper as it does take a beating plus it will look better.

How did you get it for $70? I paid like $130ish.

Shizzle! I have that same skidplate. However, I am looking at that eBay bull bar posted earlier. Looks like installing that requires removal of the skidplate.

And sn0wrunner, the fed's and the fine state of California have closed about 3/4 of the off road trails around here..blaaahhh were all upset

thanks HB 4X4, the pics were taken in the mountains just to the North Shasta Lake (which is finally higher than 170 feet below the crest) lol. damn so cal people. haha
 
keep posting pictures as much as you like. i like looking at yours to what mine might look when i get finished. i see you got a CB antenna now? i'm thinking about getting one to.

would it be worth to get one even if i'm on the road/highway 90 percent of my 4runners time? i like the look and the places where i do offroad there is no cell phone service.

yeah i put my CB in finally lol and as far as use of the CB where i live with the snow during the winter time its nice to have one to talk to the guys who drive all of the time (truckers) their full of information also i know where CHP sits through my CB because of the other users haha...and second everyone in my 4wheel group has them so its an easy way to keep in contact when were in our "pack" and if i see friends around town we will chat it up! haha
 
yea so when i make long drives i could actually get on it and talk to random truckers when i get bored to find out if any state troopers/police is an area to slow down?

Doesn't CHP extend professional courtesy to you?

Did you use the bent hood mount like bob98sr5?
Is that the 4 ft firestik II?
Do you have a quick disco or spring?
Finally, does it hit the back of the car when you go over bumps or rocks?
I am deciding between mounting mine there or on the rear bumper below there. Let me know your opinion.

Not usually, its weird but they will write tickets to any and all drivers. I myself never push the issue of professional courtesy, but if they happen to find out my job title then fine, but when i break the law, i.e. speeding all of those things, i expect to get a ticket.

yes, if they have their CB's on. for instance around my area the general talk channel for I-5 is 17 so i can hop on and chat if i wanted to and yeah they are good about knowing where all of Law Enforcement is at when there on the Highways
