Mastercraft Courser MXT

Just got a set of 285/75/16 Mastercraft Courser MXTs mounted up. Figured I'd throw up a few pictures in case anyone else was interested. They just came out a few months ago so there is pretty limited info/pictures out there on the interwebs.

They're on my 97 SR5, 3" suspension lift, no body lift. They do rub a bit, but so far only in reverse or if I hit a bump while turning. Just got them this week so I'll update when I can get them offroad.

Got a pretty good deal on them at $200/tire, mounted and balanced.

They are a very good looking tire, unfortunately for what I use my 4runner for, the 2-ply sidewall kills any chance of myself ever owning them.

Yeah, they're way rumbly. Its my DD, but my commute is under 5 minutes so I don't mind the noise. And I like to let people know I'm coming from a block away.:clap2:

The 2-ply worried me some too, but the majority of the use will be mountain roads either up where I live or down in the San Juans by Durango. I do get down to Moab once or twice a year for camping but even then I don't get too extreme on the rocks.

it has been a while... how are they doing? I put on some LT235-75r15 ATX's. Mine are definitely 7 ply with two on the side but I saw that some sizes are 10 ply and have a higher load rating which typically means improved sidewall.

I only have a few miles on them but less noise than the previous stock P rated tires but feel it in the steering wheel around 60...mild...may not be well balanced. $72 bucks so I went all in and got 5 with road hazard.

I went with a bigger size and switched to the Mastercraft CXT in a 285/65/18, little quieter tread

I'm curious how well you like the CXT's? I am strongly considering this as my next tire. Would you recommend them? What kind of terrain have you had them in?
