Just so happened to stumble upon this. I'm about 2 and a half hours out. Hmm...

Just called the place and caught them before closing. Thinking I'll pay for it tomorrow and have them hold it. Firm on price until the hood is 30 days old so it is what it is. Anyone need sport parts? Color matched grill?

Thinking I'll grab the sport edition emblems off the doors too.

Nice score on the hood! I bet someone would want that grille too. Now I need to find an OEM sport hood in black near me or pay to have my aftermarket one repainted since the paint started peeling on it. You're lucky you're getting a factory one with factory paint.

If you want the hood call them as soon as they open in the morning to pay for it. I can't tell you how many times I have missed out on an OEM Sport Hood because someone called or showed up an hour before I did.

Check out the photo of the center console. It looks like there is a decent double din head unit in there. I can't quite make out the brand... maybe Pioneer.

Have a deposit placed on the hood. Going to try and make it up there either this week or next.

Watching the storms in the Atlantic to see if I'll be heading out of town to track down some surf. Forecast is all over the place. If I don't leave, hood will be mine Friday. If I do, hopefully the following Friday.

There seems to be a pretty good amount of parts on that website. I called the local yard this morning and they were easy to deal with.
If I were you, I'd probably sell your scoop insert and look for a used, OEM black one.

Yeah, I'm gonna look around and see if there's anything. It's either that or pay ~$370 to get it repainted.

I'm glad you are getting the hood... congrats!

If you are going to get additional parts from this 2002 4Runner here are some recommendations from my T4R salvaging experience plus parting out two complete 3rd Gens - the following parts will always be in demand as long as they are in good condition:

- Grille: Make sure all tabs are intact and get the clips also. Your sale will be limited to Stellar Blue owners, so you may own this part for a while.

- Airbox: Check that all mounting tabs/extensions are intact.

- Rubber cup holder insert

- Hood bug screen

- Double din head unit

- Cargo cover

- OEM carpeted cargo mat

- Rear spoiler

- Center console cover/entire center console

- Roof rack

- OEM hitch

- Sunglass holder/sunroof console

It looks like there are other parts that are in good condition, but some of these take some time to remove and/or are less portable (fenders, doors, bumpers, rear hatch, seats, etc.).

I'm in Northern Alabama, almost in Tennessee. Huntsville, AL to be exact, but I travel to southern Alabama once every other week or so which means I hit 3 of 4 big cities in Alabama (Huntsville, Birmingham, and Montgomery) and come within a couple hours of Mobile. If you find one let me know! If not I might just suck it up and get it painted.

Just called the place to confirm they had it and it was mine as I was planned on heading up Friday. The site is actually incorrect and the hood is in Chesapeake, VA. About 20 minutes from my school apartment. Talk about luck.
