Max offset and BS

I didnt see anthing about it in a sticky or search so heres my question. What is the max offset and BS w/o any problems on these 4 Runners? Going with a 22" rim possibly and need to make sure from you guys as I dont trust the retailers knowledge most times. Going with either a 265/35 or 265/40 tire depending on availability but most likely the latter so height is only .03" different than now.

If the OD is that close to OE and 265 is the width I'd a BS that yielded around a zero offset would be best. Stock rims have a negative 30mm offset. 1.25" Spidertrax spacers are very popular with OE rims. The other very popular thing is the FJC rim at -15mm offset. The guys who run wider rims seem to shoot for zero through a little positive offset, usually under 1 inch IIRC.

I'm sure 0 through a slightly positive offset would serve you well. Basically you want the BS to be around half the rim width or a little less.

Thanks man. Seems all the rims Im looking at have a +12-20mm offset with about 4.5-4.94 BS. So this is meaning I cant run these w/o rubbing?

My guess is you'll be very close to "ok". Because the wheel is pushed out a bit more you might encounter very minor, easily correctable rubbing.

Check out J.A.'s wheelspacer page. It's awesome and in the end game his tire size is very close to yours. His rims with spacers are similar to what your looking at. The trimming instructions at the bottom of the page are great. Toyota 4Runner Wheel Spacers

Most 22" wheels will be 9-10" wide. Unless we know the wheel width, the offset is meaningless. I'd shoot for a backspacing number close to 5", no higher.
