Wow, I had to dig back to page 5 to find my TOTM thread. Sad huh?

Anyways, the 4Runner has just been plugging along....looking SEXY (I might add)! It will be hitting 185K soon and I had my FIRST EVER check engine light. I had the code read and it came back as Lean on bank 1. So I had them reset the code, and crossed my fingers that it was just the fuel injector cleaner I had run through her....6 weeks later, check engine light...same code.

I just picked up 2 new O2 Sensors ($240/ pair) and since my CV Boot exploded over the weekend camping trip, I grabbed a new half shaft for $70.

So the point of this, in 185K miles, this is the first time that light has come on, and the second time I have ever had a part fail (water pump didn't fail it just leaked, and CV Boot...and that was because of the lift). So, it's never left me stranded...ever.

I love this truck. I will post some photos as I do the work.

...did I mention I love this truck?

This whole video may not be of interest, but it does show off the 4Runner with the bumpers and lift and all that. The roof rack isn't on all that often (looks better without it).

Anyways....enjoy, or turn it off after the first scene in the driveway. The truck isn't the focus after that.

On another note...scroll up through this thread and have a good look at how far that damn camper has come since we got it! Wow.

I just did the O2 sensors today....that was easy as pie!

I also picked up a new half shaft, looks like the lift kit finally toasted the boot on my passanger side CV. There is grease all over everything!

I have had the check engine light trip twice in the past 6 weeks, hopefully the O2 sensors will fix it.

I am going to jump back under there tomorrow and throw a new fuel filter in.

Mileage is about 185K. (This thread is turning into my maintance log)

I had the half shaft replaced by my neighbor yesterday (no way was I doing it outside in 110 degree heat!).

Check engine light has not been back on.

I also changed out my CD player for a newer JVC that has the USB port in the front. CD's are so 2 years ago!

I've been having some lingering gremlins in the ol' runner lately. I have noticed a substantial lull in power.

I took it in today, and with a little investigating my mechanic and I found that the cat had completely fallen apart.

We cut the old one out, dumbed the honeycomb looking crap out of my muffler, welded everything back together and it feels like new again.

192,000 miles and going strong.
