May 2016 Meet and Run

I might be able to get in on this. Are we going to make this a 2 day run? Looks like some great camping out there. [MENTION=117408]Oneluv13T4R[/MENTION] let me know if you want to set a date for the pre-run. I might be able to make a day trip out of it.

Pick a date that works for you,to go pre run it. besides this Saturday and I'm good to go, weekday/weekend whatever. Yeah there is definitely good camping out there.

Both on my list of places to go, me and another member were talking of doing something like this [MENTION=87168]@Crazynorwegian but getting the Nor Cal T4R guys in on it along with So Cal T4R members and just pic a date post on both forums and go for one big Nor & So Cal meet up. Now that would gain some serious interest ...I would say end of June being the soonest for something like this.
I like the destinations but that's a short notice even for most of the so cal guys/gals plus I think think the monthly meets are meant to be local area trails and day runs to allow for more people to get involved and get in on the the fun.

I'm would be in regardless if start a trip plan thread ...
 
I'm gunna go test out my new suspension and tires at Anza Borrego this Saturday if anyone would like to join me. I'll be there around 9:30AM or so and check it out before the SD paella festival.

I would totally be up for this but it's mothers day weekend so I have plans all weekend.

But next weekend I'm up for a run or a pre run of Calico...

Yes, that is pure jealousy oozing out of me. Calico will break that in much better than just some soft sand in Borrego.

I will pre-run with you. I just can't roll at the end of the month. Gotta road trip/surf with the baby girl for her 13th bday. I gotta get some miles on her because I am doing Bryce Canyon and Zion on 5/16.

Well you guys saw me break in mine. It was perfect. Although yours is going to be white so it's going to look a lot dirtier than mine did. Lol.
On a side note I'm not positive I'll be able to make the may run but I'm going to try! Prbly on a Sunday but not a Saturday. Most likely will have to work Saturday that weekend.
 
On the fence for the prerun. Trying to talk the kiddo into it, but he wasn't too keen when I asked him about it the other day for his birthday. Definitely coming for the memorial day weekend though, so make sure you guys find me an off the grid campsite if I don't make it. I'll know more for sure after this weekend, still trying to talk him into it.
 
I was just thinking, for anyone with a trailer, the Calico Ghost Town (I think it's a county park now) has full hookups and camping spots I believe.

Yes you are correct... And I believe it is 30-40 bucks for full hook ups and showers etc.
Then just down the road/trail is the free camping designated area, no hook ups etc.

That's where I'll be camping if you show me the spots kind sir. Pretty well over crowded camp grounds
