Maybe too tight spark plugs

Newbie Question for the day

2005 V-6 Sport

I bought NGK plugs(LFR6C-11) plugs at the parts store, read the back of the plugs--check gap--put in hand tight--turn additional 1/2 to 2/3 turn to seat. So I went 1/2 turn, no problems.
Then I see on their web page and here also the torque values.

My question
Did I tighten them too much or cause any damage to the alum heads???

I would like to take them all back out and then torque to 13ft lbs

Thanks,

I've never used a torque wrench on my spark plugs, I just put some anti-sieze on the threads and just get them tight.

Did you use anti-sieze? That is the main factor with aluminum heads. If you followed the directions our probably fine, but without anti-sieze the plugs could really lock themselves in there which could cause major problems for you next time you try to change them.
