Congrats I had some component MB Quartz speakers and they were incredible. Your going to love them.
Where are you going to mount the amp for them?

BTW, there's no "Z" in MB Quart. Also, if you really want to be impressed by MB Quarts, why not get the QSD's for the front doors. They are much better than the PCE's. I have this set up in my other car, and it's outstanding.

Im going to mount the amp to the back of my seat. One thing with the 4runners back seat is that the back is not that sturdy. the amp for may subs fell of but it is kinda heavy. I wanted to do a costom box to incoorperate my subs and amp. but that will have to wait.

yea well wasnt quite going for exact spelling. I would not pay 1200 for speakers.getting these PCE is big. they go for 500 but im getting last years model for 280. Much better. I heard them and they sound amazing but i am sure that the Q series sound awsome.

Are you talking $280 for 2 or for 4?

just for the front doors im takin my dads cerwin vegas out of his rear doors that arent even hooked up and putting them in mine

You should get the current item for that price. List price on MB Quarts is pie in the sky. You can get the QSDs for aroung $450-$500/pr. You can try eBay for these, but if you buy anywhere on the internet (except Crutchfield I think) you will not have a warrantee. You might find a pair of QM218.61's on eBay unused for around 300. Those were the predecessor to the QSD's.

I have the QM218.61's in my 01 Civic and love the clarity. IMO if you are going to get MB Quart, go high end. In fact go high end for anything audio. You may spend a crap load of money up front but in the long run it is worth it. Had this set for over 3 years powered by a Rockford 200ix(oldie but one of the best amps ROckford produced)bridged and they didn't even flinch at the power. When I purchase my 4Runner I will be adding QSD's no matter what price. You won't have to worry about warranty. The components will outlast the warranty. I just hope Rockford Fosgate doesnt't decide to mess with the manufacturing of the MB Quart. If it is not broken, don't try to fix it right?

yea thats sweet. If i had the money I would get the Q series but I heard the PCE and they sound amazing thats all i need. i just ordered my amp today and prob get my speakers installed on tues.

You can't go wrong with MB Quart.(I used to call it MB Quartz as well) Till I bought them and found out what music should sound like. I also have Kappa's which sound great too.

With MB Quart how are the product lines? Meaning PCE is lowest, middle or best? I would assume they are not the best being as people have said to get the QSD's.

thanks

Q series are considered the best...pce is the best of the rest. A few years ago quart was winning all those Iasca trophies with the reference speaker which is now a pce.

WOW!!! Just got my MB's put in and they sound amazing. Never heard such clear and loud highs. Still have to tweek my system. My runna sides are still apart and need to get another RCA cable for the rear but about to go do that now. But I did the amp work myself and it works. Ill post a picture as soon as i get my amps mounted and figure out how to post a pict.
