MD, DC, VA Meet & Greet *********************

We have been talking about it for awhile, and I figured I would just try to get this together. I live in Bel air, along with Sp8ball, and I know alot of folks on here live to the south of us. So- here's the plan:

WHERE: Sandy Point St Park - 1100 East College Parkway, Annapolis MD 21409

WHEN: Saturday, September 17th

TIME: 12 noon- ?


I guess we can turn this into a picnic type of thing. I'm up for suggestions...
For those that have never been; Sandy Point St Park is located off of Rt 50 next to the bay bridge. There is a small entry fee ($5 per person, $6 non resident) to get into the park. It offers a nice open picnic area and a beach area as well. There is also a huge, modern launching ramp area that offers direct access to the Bay Bridge and Annapolis area. Beautiful views of the Bay! Sp8Ball snapped this pic during our fishing trip...





So, whoever shows up shows up, rain or shine.

I will be there, and Sp8ball as well- who else??

No beer at Sandy Point unless you rent a pavilion, which is expensive...

The admission is also $5 bucks/person, $6 bucks for non residents (updated original post). Maybe you know a better place? I'm open...

I would of loved to be there, but its our 15 year anniversary. We will be in Ocean City Maryland for that weekend.

Kidding, but when I told the fiancé she said we are supposed to do something with her friend, birthday, something something. So I'm trying to figure out how to do both or not go to birthday thing.

i MIGHT be able to make it. I gotta look at my schedule as i know i have 2 bachelor partys and 1 wedding, so that is 3 weekends im out of town in the next month or so

it would be pretty sweet to look at all of the trucks though

Either way, I'm looking to try to make it to sandy point also. Only caveat for me is the wife and kids may want to come along.

I wasn't worried about anyone else. But how am I going to talk shop with my wife rolling her eyes every time I say "ooo, I want that and that and that...for my truck!".

No offroading at Sandy Point. Good idea with the Kayak though!

I think I'll be dragging my boat with me to do some late afternoon fishing as well. Can't pass up the opportunity.

Anyone have a desire to make it a minor wrenching session? I've been wanting to install a CB for some time...thinking of mounting the antenna to the back hatch using something like this:

That or go Antman style with it mounted to the rack. Whatever is best. Trickiest part I guess is running the cable up to the driver's side front.

hey man. it was you that hates your z120bt right? I remember you saying that you didn't like how the nav didn't display cross streets? You've changed the zooming of it right? today i changed it to i believe .75 miles and it showed crossing streets coming up..

I kinda figured this would come up... I, for one, don't mind doing some stuff, but I would rather wrench in my garage! I think it will be great to finally put some "faces with the avatars" and see all the cool mods everyone has done. I'm sure a lot of knowledge will be shared if everyone shows up! Looking forward to it. Just my .02
