Hey dude - yeah that was me, not about the cross streets though, its the navi logic that drives me crazy. I love the unit, its just not the most reliable navi.

On a 2nd side note, you were literally driving by my house when you snapped that pic.

oh okay. Gotcha. well, at least i tried! I haven't used the navigation function yet, other than to look at the map.

i'll be on the lookout for your runner when i'm in that area! I just discovered that super pollo place on the corner, so i've been going there like 3 times a week.

It is amazing you have never seen me there...living so close I am there all the time. I just moved back into ballston a bit though and was sad to move the extra .5 miles away from super pollo when I discovered they just opened one across from conti's bike shop next to the new jimmy johns. So as long as that place keeps following me wherever I move I'll be a happy camper.

haha. Yeah, i discovered the other super pollo place by jimmy johns too, it's right behind golds gym ballston, I actually went there last night.

have you ever been to crisp and juicy off lee hwy? about .5 miles east of glebe rd? It's probably a bit too far out of the way from you, but it's pretty good.

You guys must be new to the area ;)

If you're into Peruvian chicken and live in Arlington, by far the best place is El Pollo Rico on N. Kenmore between Wilson and Fairfax. The others are good too, just not as good.

I think we have the makings of an "Arlington 4runner get together". It'll be no Great Falls Cars & Coffee (which will blow your mind), but it'll do!

I have to disagree....a lot of my friends who have lived in Arlington for a long time swear by El Pollo Rico but I think they are old news. There is something charming about paying $5 cash and getting a mountain of good food but I think Crisp N' Juicy is the best in Arlington.

Super Pollo is 2nd to me and I think it's because I could walk there. Now I'm probably closer to El Pollo Rico so I'll give them another chance for you homeyclaus lol. Maybe we should all get to El Pollo Rico this Sunday for lunch and then hit Crisp N Juicy and then Super Pollo for a 1/4 chicken dessert?

Who's in? lol

Yup another Arlington (and have office in Annapolis). I think I have a wedding that weekend. Gotta check.

For those that have never been; Sandy Point St Park is located off of Rt 50 next to the bay bridge. There is a small entry fee ($5 per person, $6 non resident) to get into the park. It offers a nice open picnic area and a beach area as well. There is also a huge, modern launching ramp area that offers direct access to the Bay Bridge and Annapolis area. Beautiful views of the Bay! Sp8Ball snapped this pic during our fishing trip...

The Monday BUMP!

Hope everyone made it through the earthquake and Irene OK (gees!). Looks like possibly 10 people so far :thumb3: - anybody else thinking of joining in??

I am thinking about it, problem is, I am not sure if I will be here at that time, my 4runner is in my house in FLA in the garage, I just happen to be here for work, but it is up in the air how long, if I am here, I will be there, albeit with a rental car. I have been gathering items to be added to my 4runner the next time I see him.
 
Just saw this thread, I should be able to make it out for a bit. Would be nice to meet the local legends
 
The Monday Bump! :)

The meet is this Saturday! For those of you that show up:

Enter the park and continue straight. There will be 2 parking lots on the left side. Depending on parking availability, the last lot has the best views of the beach/ Bay. Picnic tables and restrooms are right there as well.

Hope to see you guys there- so far it looks like the weather will be perfect!
