Measured TRDP spring sag with C4 LowPro bumper and winch

Hello Everyone,

I took ride height measurements to top of wheel well straight up through the center of the wheel of my 4runner when it was new so i could determine effects of any mods.

New (less than 100 miles, 3/4 full)
Driver Front: 35 7/16 Driver Rear: 37 1/8
Pass Front: 35 9/16, Pass Rear: 37 1/8

With Rocky Road Sliders (approx 95lbs)
Driver Front: 35 3/8 Driver Rear 37"
Pass Front: 35 3/8 Pass Rear 37"

28k miles before winch install:
Driver Front: 35 1/4 Driver Rear 36 3/4"
Pass Front: 35 1/4 pass Rear 36 3/4"

After C4 Low Pro Winch install with Superwinch 10k. (approx 120 lbs)
Driver Front: 34 5/8 Driver Rear 36 5/8"
Pass Front: 34 3/4 Pass Rear 36 5/8"

So the winch an sliders etc cost almost 1 inch of ride height.

Gas was approximately 2/3 to 3/4 inch each time.

The truck sits noticeably lower in the front--don't like the look at all. I can definitely tell weight is there. It's not as balanced handling as before.

I am going to get new front springs.

TRD ORP w/ KDSS dropped 1/2" after adding that bumper and the 9.5 smitty winch
Quickly replaced the entire suspension
Drives much better now.

So are you saying your passenger front lifted 1/2" after adding the bumper and winch?

these measurements probably should have been taken from hub-center up. tire wear / pressure / size / brand / type all make for too many variables.

Ah nope. Corrected. It sagged 1/2” and was much quicker to bottom out. Same tires and pressure both times....
