Measurement Needed for Retrofit

I have 2015 Limited 4runner and am currently getting my headlights retrofitted. The vendor (BFC) asked me for a measurement, however I am currently on the other side of the country and won't be back for a few weeks.

Can somebody check to see how much room there is directly behind the headlight? Not where the side cap thing for the low beam projector bulb - but behind that.

Hey,

I'm measuring right about 5" from the bulb to the battery on the drivers side and the same to the ? on the pass side.

Hope thats what you needed.

Thanks Phil. I checked with the vender and he was not referring to that area, I double checked it on a demo at the dealership (The sales manager is a buddy of mine).

See attached image for where the area of concern is.

I attached a picture of the space I mean with a green circle - I don't need exact measurements - but does it look like there is any space there? Maybe 1-2 inches ??

If anyone can help me out. I don't know how easy it is to check I hope it is not to hard.

If the 2015 are anything like the 2014, there is very limited space less than an inch if my memory serves me correctly. We are limited to only side mounted projectors, unless your willing to modify the space beside the headlight.

Thanks iLuXoR817, Basically I am setting up to get D2S v3.0 projectors put into another set of headlamps since our stock headlights are so awesome, I almost bought a mdx just because of the issue but couldn't justify the minivan type suv vs the 4runner.
