Anyway, good shot of your truck. Looks awesome. What kind of wheels are those? I may have to downgrade in size and put my 20's back on my dad's Sequoia. They vibrate too much. Dealer as well as Discount Tire state that these wheels look great but are just too big for this model Runner. Our truck is much too sensitive.
Do you experience any vibration in yours? What size are your rims and tires?

Definitely look bigger than 16x8. I just swapped my wheels out today. I am now rolling on the 17" Sequoia Limited wheels that have the gunmetal, bronze finish. Matches my paint job perfectly.
Will send you a pic along with the burtmanindustries decal when I get a chance.

I'm so jealous. The rationale side of me says I don't need another car payment...the want/desire side of me simply craves it to the point of drooling (it isn't a pretty sight). Anybody know how to knock that angel off my one shoulder so I can clearly listen to what the devil is telling me?!
Mine was a '05---traded it in on my '05 4Runner and sold my '93 4Runner out right. I love my '05--totally different personality than my '93--but she too was a doll.
The dealership is going to call next week when their 2006 S2000 (silver/red) arrives. I guess I have a week to tear myself up over it!

I can't stress enough how easy this stuff goes on and comes off. I used about 4 Micro Fiber towels total for the whole truck including the roof.
Jason...You will be amazed that it will even look better after you hand wash it for the first time. I love this stuff.

Hand. Call me crazy but I have the Porter Cable buffer and don't use it. You can't get in all the tight spots with the buffer and by the time you get it out, do the big areas, then do the tight areas by hand, it take too long.
I kinda like doing it by hand, a more personal touch. Don't take that the wrong way, hehe.
Is it so bad to get up-close-and-personal with your ride?
I can do it pretty quick by hand.

Think I'll try doing it by hand the next time too. Does anyone every put more than one coat? Is there any point in doing so?

Buffers are great if you know how to use them. But they can leave some nasty marks if you don't. If you've never done it try it on a trail rig or a vehicle you don't mind messing up.

What's the proper technique for waxing? I baby my green 97 mechanically, but I'm guilty of driving her through the car wash regularly instead of spending 2 hours in the driveway every Saturday doing it by hand.
If you want to throw in some good advice on best washing products/techniques, it'd be much appreciated...

Here's what I do...
Get something made for washing cars like Wesley's (don't use dishwashing detergent). Pour a little in a bucket and add water. Wet down the area you are going to wash and get all the mud off with the hose also. The hotter it is outside the smaller the area. You don't want the soap to dry before you hose it off. I use a sponge (with soap from the bucket) and clean the area, then rinse with the hose. When you are finished dry the vehicle with a soft towel. Wesley's "Bleach-White" does a nice job cleaning white-walls or white-letter tires. There are several other product that will give your tire that shiny look.
I wax my vehicles twice a year, fall & spring. Don't wax in direct sunlight, don't wax the vehicle if the sheet-metal is hot, and wax right after you wash. If you wax a dirty vehicle you will scratch the clear coat. I use a circular pattern to wax. Other than that, follow the direction on the wax you buy. I used to use Turtle Wax religously, but I use Meguiars now.
I can do a good wash job on the t4r in about a half-hour. I haven't waxed it yet (just got it a couple weeks ago), but it takes about two hours to do the Cherokee.
Waxing makes all the difference in the world. When I sold my '95 S-10 in 2002, it had 104,000 miles, rarely saw a garage, and the paint looked almost like new.
