Merry Christmas - Really

Hi guys.

I just wanted to wish you all a sincere Merry (happy) Christmas. This forum is my only ‘social media’. I don’t care for the bs on mainstream social media, so I’m not involved there. Here, it’s either guys talking about trucks, or bickering about oil, with the occasional flame war, which I confess I sometimes enjoy following. You all are kind of a buddy system, and not just for me.

2020 has been a crap year for a lot of folks on here, me included. More and more, as time passes, I’m thankful anytime I have a peaceful day. Right at this moment on Christmas Eve, things are quiet at home, and I pray my eldest son makes it home safely from work through this snowy night in his old Corolla.

So not getting too mushy here, just feeling thankful at the moment. God bless all you guys and gals, and I hope all is well with you. And Merry Christmas!

Good on you for being thankful, it has been a rough year to say the least. In my mind it’s a tuneup, adapt and over come. We will get through this, i sent a message to my VA provider that i am ready for the vaccine when they are, let’s get it done.

The only good news about 2020 is that.....at the bottom of crap hole, the only way is up, right?

I have been on this forum for 18 years (and counting)...by far, the 18th year has been most interesting that i have witnessed.....the boom of Tesla and electrics....the bumbling slowness of Toyota (as usual)....the killing of Land Cruiser....and the rise of the old nameplates (ever unreliable Defender and OJ’s Bronco).

2020 is for the history books after next week. Good riddance.
