Mesh grill ?

Did you try to search for them? I know some people have made their own from mesh from places like home depot. That is the cheapest route or you can purchase one from e-bay or maybe even burtmanindustries.com has one.

i had tried the gutter route, but it was a pain in the butt imo
I asked jason burtman a while ago if he could bring mesh grille inserts back and he said maybeeee and a couple months later he had them up on his site. hah!
I am vey pleased with the inserts i bought from his site. they are legit

Ok..here it is. I took a couple pics.
After I cut the grill, I formed the mesh to the backside how I wanted it. Then I secured it in several places with construction adhesive. I left the tabs at the bottom clear so I could move the tabs to get the grill in and out of the car. The stuff I got was from Lowes. It was called gutter gap guards I think. It came in a 6 pack and was about $6. Use 1 full piece for the top section and 1 piece for the lower section of the grill. There is enough mesh for 3 grills if you know anyone near you who wants to do the same

Might as well. if you and your buddy use the same stuff, it will only cost you $3 each. Not bad for a custom grill. Stupid pepboys wanted $40 for a sheet of the same stuff. Only diff was that it was in a package telling you it was 'grill material'.:bash:

Thanks! I bought the hood brand new. Its an aftermarket hood so it was only $150 brand new. The scoop insert was about $125 my cost from the dealer and I got it painted for $200. I sold my stock hood so total i'm in it about $450. It was bolt on and super easy to do. My headlites are also from a 99-02 4runner. Its nice when everything is direct bolt on

I know this is a old thread, but instead of making a new thread about something thats already been talked about in here im gonna bump this thread lol. Plus I got the idea from [MENTION=23997]toytech76[/MENTION]. I pretty much did everything you did Toytech except I didnt use construction adhesive. I tried using the adhesive but it was just too messy and it wouldnt stick. I got some metal strings idk what you call it in english to be honest, but its flexible metal like strings. I tied the mesh to the back of the grill and tightened with some pliers and VOILA!
