I received the Teton shift knob July 1, 2020. During that time, I've had it in the Texas heat during the summer and snowmageddon. I didn't have any issues with it being too hot or too cold. Highly recommended.

My Ellis is sitting in a drawer because it gets too freakin cold in the winter and conversely hot in the summer.

I just ordered an FJ shifter knob. It matches the transfer case shifter. Some folks say you gotta cut a half inch or so out of the middle to make it fit, some say it fits fine.

I ran one of those for a while. I did disassemble it, removed about 3/8" from the middle section, and put it back together. It might have worked without doing that, but it was pretty close to rubbing on the panel below, so I trimmed it. The best thing about this one (besides the fact that it matches the oem tc knob) is you don't have to line anything up or make sure any logos are straight - just tighten it down and go.

I currently have the Ellis Precision knobs. They do get hot, and they do get cold.

I just installed both shift knobs from Teton ... There certainly not cheap but they are fantastic.
