Metal tech extended brake hose help

I installed some metal tech rear extended brake lines. The driver side one is close to touching the gas tank and the passenger side one is touching the filler neck and the gas tank. I was going to put some fuel line around the hoses to help with any contact but figured I'd check here for any experience or other ideas. Thanks guys!

can you just pull the center of the hose towards you and have the hoses curve to the rear of the vehicle?

I was kind of thinking that. I'll give it a try today.

i use some soft velcro wire ties so i don't mess up the pvc cover. take an adjustable wrench and bend the the brackets to where it dosen't contact. you can also add a spacer to the brackets if need be. If you just bend it then when the axle articulates it will go back to the natural way. So you have to make sure it doesn't contact or come close and still has some slack.

I was under the impression the MetalTech extended brake lines were designed for their extended travel rear kit which has the ~3" lift springs, bump stop spacer and extended travel shocks.

If you had more lift I think they would fit better.

Possibly, I've got the 1.5" spacers and the FJ springs so I'm probably only around 2. I'll try bending the brackets.

if you have fj and 1.5 then your above 2 and the metal tech lt rr is 2 in lift plus some for travel. there are only like 3 or 4 extended rear brakelines out there regardless of lift. the hard brakelines and ss brakline is very flexible so don't worry about braking them. just do a little at a time and you will be fine. it took me some time to get them looking right. i had to replace a axle hardline because a flarenut stripped. plus you were probably bending the stock brackets when you had Oem lines and a lift.

I've got all 4 new hardlines so I shouldn't have too much trouble with them. I'll go a little at a time like you said, til then I've got some hose protecting the lines and the tank.
