So I am starting to hear a metallic sound outside the 4runner whenever I depress the brake pedal. It sounds like it is coming from the front driverside. Would this be an indication of a stuck caliper? or wheel hub assembly?
I know the passenger side will need a new wheel hub assembly sooner than later but this is coming from the driver side. Just curious your thoughts

Take a look at the rotor. If the rotor surface does not look like it is worn uniformly, you probably need new pads and have your rotors cut (or replaced)

As to whether or not the caliper is seized, that will need a physical inspection.

While you are checking the brakes, also check that the backing plate, behind the rotors is not rusting out and contacting the rotor. That will cause a noise.
