That is the STUPIDEST shit and exactly why when I eventually buy a set of aftermarket wheels they won’t be SCS. I like their designs but the “limited” availability is flat out retarded.

Yep I feel the same. I contacted them about that and he just said that if they had them in stock all the time they wouldn't be special. If I owned a business wouldn't you give the customer what they want? Love the wheels but not sure if I want to play the waiting game for them.

those look pretty dern nice, i struggle with 17s on these because they look so big but certain styles pull it off extremely well and those are one of the sets. I get that tires are more available and TBU fits but i cannot bring myself to really like the 17s that are on my 4R.

Doesnt help that i have a set of 16" 8-holes in the garage without tires but i'd gladly trade the 17s with low mileage tires for 16 x 33 tires.

Not trying to contradict anyone, but this is a small market, and that's a boutique manufacturer - stocking massive quantities isn't economically viable in every situation.

(yeah, I have some wheel business experience in my day job; also for a niche market, and the wait times have been seriously long - it's often unavoidable.)

That's fair, it just seems like SCS sells out almost immediately. That means the demand is definitely there, so why not do bigger runs? Then again, I'm just some dude on the internet and I don't know what other issues are at play here. They seem like great wheels and I'd really like a set of F5s. I'm just not willing to play the game to get them.

I've got my eyes on a set of S6s; we'll see if my opinion changes.

I have the SCS F5s and I'm very happy with them. I bought them years ago and didn't have to wait, but noticed that on several occasions they have been out of stock. That sucks and I think there may be other things at play here. Time and material management? They're tooling might be tied up with other popular models that owners of other brand trucks like? Maybe an ex trying to squeeze every last drop? JK.
But, in the 3 years I've owned them, they have gained in popularity, you would think they would run several dozen sets in a few months and have some in stock for most of the year. But, as pointed out in an earlier post, most of us are just Interweb jockeys and have no clue on how line production works.
Sidebar observation: If you off road a lot, any brand large spoke wheel is way more convenient for cleaning, instead of fake bead locks and lots of nooks and crannys to hold dirt. All of these brand rims in this thread look good too, I would be happy with any of them.
