Michelin Defender LTX M/S? Looking for quieter than Bridgestone H/T.

I'm looking to replace my 2016 SR5's original 265/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires, which always seemed excessively noisy at highway speeds, and do not have a lot of tread left at 33K miles.

Mostly highway miles. Average-to-"spirited" driving style.

I'm looking for a quieter ride, longer life, and reasonable performance in the snow (live in NY).

Anybody have experience with the Michelin Defender LTX M/S? Or have other suggestions?

Hey,
I’ve got about 1k miles on my LTX’s. I drive a ‘15 LE. My Dueler HT’s lasted over 65k, so it’s hard to complain. They were noisy and rode harshly. The LTX are quieter and ride smoother. Dry and wet wx handling are great. We haven’t seen any snow yet this year, and I’ve not taken them off-road yet. They have to perform better than worn out Duelers though.

Just purchased the Michelin tires yesterday. It replaced my Cooper Discoverer HTP. I have noticed the ride is quieter and softer then previous Cooper tires.

I live in Florida so I can’t give you any advice concerning snow.

So far I am happy with the purchase!

Michelin LTX/MS for 3 years, love them!! You won't be sorry unless you like a real aggressive looking tire. But ride, handling, stopping, traction, etc. these are great.

My Defenders have been terrific. This thread I started may be helpful in making your decision but IMO you really can’t go wrong with these tires.

I plan to get the A/T version next time but the M+S may be better given your planned use and they’ll go anywhere you want.
