i've been a member since this past winter when my grandpa mentioned he wanted to sell his 03 SR5 V8, but i'm just getting around to officially introducing myself!

i helped him pick out his next vehicle back in '02 and recommended he look in to a 4Runner because the 4.7 was great in the tundra yatta yatta and he needed to tow his sailboat twice a year.

i was 11 at the time (come from a big car-buff family) and hoped that one day, when it had a few more miles on it, i could buy it from him. when that time came i had just sold my trusty Tacoma and obtained my dealer license. i bought and sold and drove different vehicles throughout the year and finally bought it from him when i returned home from school.

i currently commute 80 miles a day for work, so i drive a Heep Cherokee back and forth to keep the miles off the Runner (it gets driven everywhere but to work) while i compile a solid list of parts for it. because i work for MDOT doing bridge design and run a landscaping business i started in high school on the weekend/after work. ill get a build thread going one of these days.

anyway, i am home in mid-michigan for the summer. anyone else in michigan? i have plenty of tools and a solid variety of experience with anything internal combustion, and more.. always down to help if i have time.

lastly, thanks for all the great info. i'll do my best to represent the "teen's" on the site (i'll be 20 come september). im over on 120 as "PONYBOY."

Oh lordy, another Wolverine (LOL)! Well, I guess a Buckeye can welcome you to the forum anyway (just messing with ya'). Sounds like you have a fine start in life, with a business and a great vehicle--well done, young man! Definitely post some pics of your rig so we can check it out. Enjoy digging around the forum!
