Located in SE MI, Macomb County. I am still waiting to buy a 4Runner, but have an 05 Tacoma PreRunner right now.

Thats cool. You already know how good Toyotas are then. I'm looking to trade my 04 Corolla S for a 01 DC with a TRD supercharger and 4 wheel drive. I love my 4Runner and the Corolla but we need a second 4X4 for hauling.

I see that there are a few people from Michigan here. I am from Royal Oak.

Based on the postings, it does not appear that there is an organized 4Runner group in Michigan. Is that everyone's understanding?

Has anyone discovered any trails that are good for stock 4Runners? I like the trails but do not have a lift or rugged off-road tires.

Wow... this Great Lakes forum is really dead. I think Toyotas are pretty rare in SE Michigan especially. The Big 3 and unions have quite a bit of influence up here.

Anyway, I'm in Oakland County, but spend a lot of time near Ann Arbor. I just took a side trip to Drummond Island while camping near Mackinaw. I didn't have much time to explore, but I'd like to go back at some point. The roads we went on were easily passable by a stock 4Runner, as long as you don't mind getting a little wet. Definitely a good time.

Wake up Michigan and lets go!

Just got my 2011 SR5 and ready to try it out. Any organized trail rides for Michigan area?

Chelsea (Ann Arbor)

Would love to hit up some trails with other 4Runners. Should be going to Bundy at least a few times this season and hopefully some other places too like Mounds or Rocks and Valleys. Would be awesome to get up to Drummond but it's a lot of gas.. lol

My rig and I up in Grayling, MI.

Hello,

My name is Robert Tam and I work at the Toyota Technical Center (TTC) located in Saline, MI. TTC is the headquarters for Toyota's North American Design and Research. We design and evaluate North American vehicles such as the Sienna, Avalon, Camry, Tundra, Tacoma, and Venza.

Every year we have a company wide car show for our team members to show off their personal cars.

This year, we'd like to extend an invitation to the local car clubs/forums to come and join us for the car show as a show of appreciation. Due to space limitations, we will be selecting 5 vehicles from each Toyota brand (Toyota/Scion/Lexus).

The car show will be held on Friday, July 20th at our facility from 11:00am - 1:00pm. Lunch will be provided, several cars will be on display, and we will have the Toyota m&m Nascar Racecar there as well as Nascar driving simulations. You will also have the opportunity to meet the actual engineers that design the many Toyota's you see on the road today as well as chief engineers and vice presidents. Entrants will also be eligible to win a trophy.

If you are interested in attending the show, please send me a pm with your email address. I will then send you an email and ask for a picture of your car and a list of any modifications / additional info. Our committee will then choose the 5 vehicle's and notify the respective owners.

Thank you and hope meet some of you soon!

Not too much going on in Michigan, eh?

I live in Indianapolis, but we're up at our place near Traverse City a few times a year. Anyone from the area? Seems like a likely spot to 4x4s.....
