Mikey's Build Thread...

With a little help from Antman got the switches at least wired up to the light switch so they come on when I turn the lights on.

Day Time...

And yes they do respond to the dimmer switch adjustments.

Also had some extra touch up paint from the iQ and am sick of waiting for the red emblem I ordered over a year ago...

Thread lurking here... I am definitely doing this because I haven't found a spot that I like for switches, and that 'coin holder' is a waste of space as it is...

Cool, glad you are keeping her.

Hope this is in your plans.

Gears
Lockers
LT rear
LT front
35s
Currie adjustable anti-rock swaybar in rear.

That is where I was headed, but decided to leave the front alone for now and just use the trail rig for more extreme stuff. Still pretty happy with where it sits.

I do enjoy having two sets of wheels... Going back to 285s for daily driving really feels good, but can't beat going biggerMTs for off-road adventures.

LT front would be so much fun though...... So few 5th gens with LT front. a lefty with a 4.7:1 would also be a game changer.

Gears....Yes 4.56
Lockers....Yes in the front and rear
LT rear....Possibly
LT Front....Yes in the works
35s....I am actually very happy with the 34s but when they wear out maybe.
Currie Anti-Rock....maybe, not a daily so maybe just no sway bar.

I say possibly on the rear LT because the kit I might source from a member on toyota120 already has the rear shocks included and they are probably only extended travel. Now in the future maybe will go LT in the rear.

The rear LT is cheap compared to everything else. Maybe $700 for the springs, shocks + extended lines and bump stops. Bang for the buck is really good IMHO. If you want to go really budget just get the LT springs and run whatever shocks you want. Then it will be super easy to go to longer travel when you are ready to spend another $300. Springs are sort of a PITA to swap....LT ones are a special challenge ;-)

I only bring up the currie because you won't have any sway in the front with the LT up there....Adjusting the rear for on and off road use would be a really nice option.

Yeah I hear you on the LT rear. I would basically be getting a free rear setup with the price the guy is selling the kit for. Down the road I will revisit the rear setup. And I know those LT rears a special. The All Pro 3.5s were tough getting in.

The Currie Anti-Rock isn't completely out of the question.

Screw the sway bars. I don't run either. Maybe I like to live dangerously. Lol. You get used to it. But I will say, having the full long travel set up(front and rear) is super awesome.

If I am not working and I can get the truck together then yes.

Is this you???!?!!!!
It was cool to see all them tacoma's the other day, but I hope you can make it back out when more 4runners will be present on April 2nd!!!
Just a little healthy encouragement to get your rig ready

. . . .
