How the front looks now.

Must say I like it. Maybe go with two big round lights on the bumper instead of a bar. Maybe both?

Opinions?

Had some extra time today, so I took the snorkel off. Decided to put my antenna back on and used the Ducmonsta method. Seems to have worked so far.

My air box got a light cleaning after putting everything back together.

Dang, what the heck did you use to trim those fenders? Looks straight caveman. That has been a great mod tho.

Used the old Dremmel and did not take my time. Been meaning to clean it up but just have not had the time. I actually want to take some more of the plastic trim piece.

Well yes I am still here and still have the truck.

Tomorrow my tuck finally is going to go in and get re-geared. On tap are Sierra 4.56 gears and I am throwing in a Eaton E-locker in the rear. Needless to say I am super excited. Hope this rekindles my relationship with my truck. Work being done courtesy of The Rearend Shop in Livermore CA.

So I then needed a new switch for the locker and have been wanting to redo my wiring. So late night web browsing led to the purchase of a sPod Bantam system with touch screen along with a Powertray to make it all look nice. Had to order part of the center console because I am removing all the old switches.

Well I had a short amount of time and started to get to work on the sPod. Started with the interior. Removed all the old switches and wiring. Previously had ordered a new front cup holder to replace the hole. And then finally decided on the touch screen location.

This location keeps the screen out of my face but still very accessible. Plus I still have access to the lower cubby, might try to figure out how to put a wireless charger in there.

Next time I have free time I will tackle under the hood.

That was my next mod lol, redo and replace with a sPOD system. Looks like I am keeping my Runner for now to have fun with since I now have lots of free time.

Your build keeps getting better every time.

Thanks Masa. Now we just need to get our trucks dirty since we both are keeping them for now.

Yeah that sounds good, now I shut down business I finally have free time I can actually do things.

But we got to break in the gears first I was told before going to crazy.

Quote from East Coast Gear Supply:

New gear sets MUST be broken in correctly to prevent damage. Not following proper break-in procedures will lead to overloading and overheating the ring and pinion as well as breaking down and ruining the gear oil. Not following proper break-in procedures can be determined during inspection and will void the warranty.

Please follow the below guidelines to ensure a proper break-in and long life of your gears.
• Only use high quality gear oils. ECGS recommends Lucas non-synthetic 85W-140
• On initial run, drive lightly for 15 to 20 minutes then stop to allow differential to cool completely for 20 to 25 minutes.
• Avoid towing and heavy acceleration, as well as vary speeds every 5 to 10 minutes while driving on highways.
• Drive conservatively and do not drive more than 50 miles at a time without allowing a cool cycle during the first 500 miles following installation.
• After completing initial break-in, change gear oil at 500 miles. Small metal particles are normal and gear oil will typically be black. Excessive metal in gear oil should be reviewed by a competent differential mechanic to ensure safety of internal parts.

Post gear oil change and initial break-in: Towing.
• First time towing should be limited to light load for no more than 15 miles, then allow differential to cool completely for 20 to 25 minutes.
• Repeat this procedure for first 45 miles of towing for full break-in of gears for towing vehicles.

PREMATURE OVERLOADING AND IMPROPER BREAK-IN WILL CAUSE GEAR OIL BREAKDOWN AND MAY RESULT IN RING AND PINION FAILURE VOIDING THE GEAR WARRANTY!
