Mileage for v8 03 owners

So far with 480 miles on it, I have been averaging 19 which I really find suprising because my 98 4Runner averaged 16. But I guess I should not be complaining .

Are you guys going by the trip computer or by tracking mileage manually? There is some debate about how accurate the '03 computer is.

My V8 shows up to 21 mpg on the highway and 19+ city/commute.

Once I saw the debate on the computer I stopped keeping track

I calculated by calculating how much gas I put in the tank and dividing the number of miles. Yeah, that number that displays is really off. It showed I was getting around 24 on the highway when I drove to Orlando from Atlanta. I knew it was way off so I reset it and it went to 21 for the rest of the trip. Now I do think the remaining gallons is fairly accurate. I did use that while driving around and it seemed to be close.
