Miles ?????

I am thinking about buying 2001 4 runner and am curious as to how long it will last. I have heard great things about the 4runner in terms of reliabilty, but I would like to hear what the board thinks.

Check the 3rd-gen and classic forums here. You'll find lots of people running 150K+ miles without a problem.

I'll let you know how my '05 holds up. I got it with 20k miles on it. I put about 50k miles anually on a vehicle.

Here comes the torture test!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the 4 Runner for the same reasons....reliability.

At the Yotatech forum there is a thread about how much miles do people have. I saw there guys with 2nd Gen. and >200'000

My 95 Tacoma(same engine....V6) had 208K when I sold it.....still ran like a top....seriously! The seats were about shot and the paint job was about dead but the truck intself was still kickin! Original Muffler and WATER PUMP......had to replace the brushes on the starter at 85K and the clutch at 183(clutch was OK.....bearing was dying though).....and they say first year vehicles suck......
