I don't like the idea of putting a sticker on my paint. But on the rear side bay window... that would work.

Quality vinyl decals and wraps won't/don't damage your paint as long as the paint is in good condition. If anything they actually protect the paint underneath them. Common misconception so I understand your concern. I had decals and plasti-dip on and off my Echo for years and they never damaged the paint.

Being in aviation the one thing I could recommend doing to make it seem more aviation like and stand out to to aviators would be to the the AC from the FAA starting on Page 7 Section D followed into Section E with table 2 being your reference for a sizing guideline for the numbering. I know this may be a little extreme but would make it more legit. I would use my model year as the tail number and if you read into the N marking section page 6 section A and make it a T instead of an A. Might make it look pretty cool. Just an idea for you. Cool concept all in all though. And the previous designs still look cool. I have considered painting decals on mine similar to the Blackhawks I work on.

These are all pretty cool ideas - I'd be in for one if it was the right color and the data was customizable. For example maybe a standard T4R in large letters, with the flag and then some user-created number combination and or letter combination. SUBSCRIBED!

For anyone that is subscribed to this thread and awaiting info, I've got the design out to my buddy that does wraps and decals. Once we figure out the feasibility of a group buy situation (pricing, etc) I'll either start a new thread or gauge interest from this thread.

Even if a group buy isn't feasible, I will be getting it for myself and posting pics once its done. If anyone else still wants one, I'll put you in touch with him so you can order individually.

So its taken a bit longer than I'd hoped but I got the final renders done to scale and have sent them to my friend for pricing. As soon as I know I'll post it up.

I just want to get another update out to every one that was waiting to hear about this.

First off, I got laid off a few weeks ago so my priorities have been elsewhere recently. So justifiably this has been put on a back burner for a minute.

Secondly, the friend I was using to produce the kits came in at about $25 per to produce them but was unable to get a good cut on the flag due to the size of the stars. Simply a limitation of his equipment. I am looking at other flag options and I am open to input for other ideas. The solution for myself would likely be to use a "Betsy Ross" 13 star flag instead, as the stars would be larger.
