Minor rake correction

Hi all. 2007 4runner 2wd about 80k miles. Currently has about 2" of forward rake and would like to reduce that to about 1.25-1.50 so a small correction. Front and rear stock springs. Have Bilstein 5100 on front set to 1.75 of lift, but if I go to the 2.5 setting I believe my stock 16" tires will look too puny with that amount of lift.

Any suggestions on correcting a small amount of rake?

Sorry...kind of not following... You have the Bilsteins already in and nothing in the back other than stock? How are you still sitting at a 2" forward rake after lifting only the front?

I've got an 08 with 5100s (@2.5") in the front and 1.5" daystars in back to level it off. It leveled off nicely. I imagine that if you set the fronts to 1.85" and added the rear spacers you'd be about where you want to be...

I have the stock 16s with 265/70s, and I think they look good. Not Duratrac 265/75 awesome, but certainly acceptable without hating it.

Sorry should have been more specific. I started out with around 3" of front rake when I recently purchased the vehicle. Then I installed 5100s all around at 1.75", so the resulting rake went down to about 1.25".

Then I also have the drivers side lean so installed a Daystar spacer driver rear spring which lifted the rear about 1" increasing the rake back up to about 2"...which is where I am now.

I was concerned about going up to 2.5" lift with the stock tires looking really small for such a large fender gap as well as any problems with alignment at that height.

Did you install new springs or just new shocks?

This is mine. 2.5" up front, and 1.5" in the back. Stock springs, stock 16s. I think it looks fine.

Right now I'm at 2" of rake. Any idea what your rake is--almost looks level?

I assume it still rides pretty well with the max and no problems with alignment at the max setting?

I'm about level. As I understand, the rear rake is about 1" from the factory. So, I added 2.5" up front and had to offset that lift in back with a 1.5" spacer. I'd imagine that if you lifted the front to 1.75", and added the 1.5" spacers in the rear you'd still maintain a .75" rake with the stock springs.

It rides MUCH better with the Bilsteins than the stock shocks -- no issues whatsoever. Less roll, and still smooth.

You'll want an alignment. Any adjustments to the suspension will affect the alignment. You could wait and see, but you do run the risk of cupping the heck out of your tires or wearing them out...fast. I think it's worth the $100 to get the truck aligned.

Wheelers Offroad sells 1/4" spacers which should add 3/8" lift.
