I note that the '99 and up 4Runners had heated (self-defrosting) outside mirrors, but the earlier ones (like my '97) do not. 
Has anyone installed heated outside mirrors on an earlier one? If so how? 
My wife's '92 Lexus has 'em, my GMC P/U has 'em and even my son's Jetta has 'em. They are addictive!
