miss fireing?

hi im new to the forum and i have a 97 toyota 4 runner limited 4x4 5VZFE motor. i have a problem on the ignition the OBD 2 says missfire 2 of 6 ignition. i already change the spark plug and wires but not the ignition coil, any way to know or trouble shoot this problem. i already used the search and got the FSM also but still no solve in this problem thanks.

Have you tried switching that coil pack with one from another cyl. to see if the problem follows? Just a simple way of seeing if the coil is good or bad.

thanks i did that but what im thinking is why on cold start only? when temp is hot already and i start the car its fine?

How do the coil extension tubes look. Did the problem follow when you moved the coil? I personally haven't had any runability problems with the 3.4l which leads me to believe that it will be something minor and/or simple to fix.
