Miss your 1st Gen?

I don't miss mine all too much. It's next to my 3rd gen, I was just driving it.

I should find and hit the previous owner in the head with a 2x4 for mistreating it. I'll bet he doesn't even miss it.

I've had two 87's and two 97's (currently one of each). First gen runner is my favorite body style…with new suspension and power plant just as fun to drive. If I had more places to park them i'd have more 1st gens being built

I don't miss my '84 pickup too much because frankly it was a nightmare to drive with about 80hp (carb'd 22r). I do miss it for the "cheap rustbucket you don't need to worry about" factor. Parked it anywhere, never locked the doors. I also miss the suspension on that truck. Tons of flex and shockingly comfortable off road (aftermarket front springs, chevy 63" rear springs with bilsteins).

I do miss my 1985 FJ60 a lot though. I have been cruising the ads on ih8mud for a rust free 60-series with a V8 swap, but they're all out of state and I can't convince my wife that it's a good idea to fly to AZ/CA to buy a car sight unseen

I miss my 1st Gen quite a bit. It was my first car, got it when I was almost 14. Had a lot of good memories driving that thing around and all. I'd like to have it back if I could find it. But I like wheeling the 3rd gen so much, I'd thought about finding a nice 1st gen and DD'ing it.
