what ? What rule was broken?

In all seriousness this is /off-topic/ we have threads about all kind of stuff.

what kind of popular demand causes a thread in off topic to be deleted?

I had actually commented in that thread and don't think it should have been deleted.

There were no rules broken in that thread. I was asked to remove it and I agreed with the reason. I'm not going to name any names but trust that it was removed for a good reason.

Sorry if it upsets anyone.

Should you even be a moderator if you are going to pull stunts like this?

These stunts that you talk about is a part of enforcing the rules. In this particular case it was something that was done as preventative maintenance. It's none of your business or anyone else's business so I'm not going into details.

I posted details in the removed thread and all moderators and admin has access to see the details. If they deem it necessary to undo what I have done then so be it and I won't have any hard feelings.

As far as you're concerned, spamming the OT section with your whining isn't getting you anywhere. It is more than reasonable to post in this thread or the "How to make this site better" thread. Posting all over another unrelated thead is total garbage and unnecessary.

It was an interesting topic too.

A self-professed genuine man of the south and his quest of self discovery regarding his aversion to certain modern technology seeking affirmations via a discussion on the internet.

Intriguing.

So if you create a thread should you not have the ability to delete your own thread even though your thread does not break any rules?

That behavior discourages new members from wanting to contribute to the site through new discussion topics.

Not just new members, either. I know I'm sometimes hesitant to offer alternative commentary for fear some rando moderator will call it trolling for disagreement and even selectively delete it.

Not naming names here. :tape2:

You guys need to quit assuming everything.

I agree with the reason of the thread removal.

If you want to know why we do the stuff we do around here, request to become a mod. If not, quit complaining. There are reasons for everything we do.

That is all.
