So I finally got around the wrapping the front of my hood. I got some oxidation in the front corner.
I failed twice doing it dry. This time I use water and a drop of soap in a squirt bottle.
I’m overall pleased with the results. The color match isn’t exact but I think it still looks ok. What do you guys think.

Have my hands full with setting up my Tacoma. Haven’t given much love to the 4runner.
Needed a headunit for the Tacoma. Bought the upgraded Jensen vx7024 with Apple play. Decided to put it in the 4runner and my old one into the Tacoma. So both trucks get an upgrade. Pretty easy install. Reused the wire harness as is with the new unit.
Mounted my navigation module in the driver side pillar. It finally works! And put my Bluetooth microphone in the place where an old alarm system light was located. And people can finally hear me now. Still have to adjust my steering wheel controls. But all in all pretty happy with it.

Well guys its been a long time since I provided an update on the 4runner.. still going strong at 150k miles.. it sits in a garage now mostly, take it on the longer road trips.. but i drive my tacoma around town mostly..
but since I last updated.. Ive done a few things.. Wheels obviously.. big upgrade.. i got a lot of miles out of my KO2s.. they rode great.. So i bought another set to go with the FN Pro wheels.. 17x8 0 offset.. I got sick of running wheel spacers.. these don't poke as much as I'd like.. but they still look good and don't rub at all.. also the steering just feels lighter and better with these wheels..
I removed all the stickers on bottom of side panels.. that wasn't fun.. but def made for a cleaner look..those were getting pretty bad over the years..
I upgraded to the TRD PRO grille.. I like the look.. it got the plastidip off the truck..
speaking of paint.. I redid the hood scoop.. side mirrors.. and the spoiler.. i bought SEM color match paint.. i used their adhesion promoter.. primer.. base and their clear.. came out really good.. all the plastic was pretty faded from the Florida sun..
Maintenance wise.. she is humming right along.. Only thing left is to go leather with seat heaters one day.. but the cloth seats are still basically mint so i cant justify that until they start tearing..
anyways here's an update picture..

appreciate the kind words.. 265/70/17.. I have 285s on my 1st gen tacoma.. This is my daily driver set up.. so I was conservative on the tire size..
